Today we headed home from visiting family and stopped at Lake Bala. There seems to be a strong impulse in all humans to pick up rocks and hurl them into the water - why? Perhaps that is the very reason we do it, because there is no reason we can just throw them and watch the splash!

This reminds me of a Charlie Brown cartoon where Charlie Brown picks up a rock and chucks it into the Lake, and Linus says something like : "Well it only took it 10,000 years to make it to shore"... I think about that often when I throw rocks in the lake. Doesn't stop me, but it makes me think :)
lol... John was trying to show them how to skip stones on the water and see how many skips they could do, Caleb wasn't interested in technique or the shape of the rock - just blasting them into space :)
